Kastar NP-BX1 battery and triple USB charger

This kit includes one 1240mAh lithium-ion battery and an LCD charger that powers three cells at once. The 3.7V pack delivers 4.6Wh and replaces Sony NP-BX1 or Type X cells in a long list of Cyber-shot, RX and Action Cam models.

Triple-slot charger fits into any USB power setup

The charger draws 5V 2A from a wall adapter, car charger or computer port via the included Micro USB cable. Each slot outputs 4.2V at 0.5A so three batteries charge simultaneously without needing a dedicated AC dock.

Replaces single-bay Sony BC-CSX or BC-TRX chargers

Photographers who carry several spares for a day shoot gain the ability to top up all cells from one USB source. The jump is worth it when you regularly deplete more than one battery and want a single compact charger instead of multiple proprietary units.

Questions about this item

How many batteries can the charger handle at once before it reaches its simultaneous-charge limit?

The LCD triple charger powers three NP-BX1 batteries at the same time, each bay delivering 4.2V 0.5A.

What heat or noise should I expect when the charger runs all day from a USB source?

The charger draws 5V 2A (10W) and outputs 4.2V 0.5A per bay with no fan mentioned, so it stays silent and only warm to the touch.

Which USB power source must I already own to run the charger?

Any 5V 2A USB wall adapter, car adapter or computer port works; a Micro USB cable is included in the box.
