Three-battery kit for Sony Cyber-shot cameras

This pack supplies three lithium-ion NP-BX1 cells plus a triple-slot USB charger. It targets photographers and videographers who need extended shooting time for compatible Sony compact cameras and action cams without carrying a wall wart.

Charges three cells simultaneously from any 5 V

The LCD charger accepts 5 V 2 A input via Micro-USB and delivers 4.2 V 0.5 A to each slot independently. An integrated display shows real-time capacity percentage for every battery while charging.

Steady 0.5 A per channel prevents heat build

Each bay maintains a constant current rather than tapering, so the third battery finishes at the same rate as the first. The charger is not suited for users who require rapid single-battery top-ups in under an hour.

Questions about this item

How long will a 1240 mAh NP-BX1 battery run my DSC-HX99 in practice?

The 1240 mAh cells deliver 4.6 Wh each at 3.7 V, giving roughly the same shooting time as Sony's original NP-BX1 in cameras such as the HX99 or RX1 series.

What does the 5 V 2 A USB input limit mean for charging three batteries together?

The charger draws up to 10 W from any 5 V 2 A USB source and splits it into three 4.2 V 0.5 A outputs, so all three batteries charge simultaneously at the rated current.

Will the triple charger fit in my camera bag alongside the DSC-RX100 VII?

The unit measures 3 by 2 by 3 inches, making it small enough to slip into a compact camera pouch next to an RX100-series body.
