Triple-bay USB charger for Sony NP-BX1

The Kastar NP-BX1 LCD Triple USB Charger powers three compatible lithium-ion batteries simultaneously. It suits photographers and videographers who use Sony Cyber-shot, RX, HX, WX or Action Cam models that accept the NP-BX1 or Type X pack. The unit replaces the need for multiple single-bay chargers on location or at a desk.

Compact three-slot design with LCD status

Measuring three by two by one inch, the charger fits in a small bag pocket. Each bay delivers 4.2V at 0.5A while the total input draws 5V 2A at 10W. A built-in LCD shows real-time charging progress and remaining capacity for every battery, so you can see at a glance when a pack is ready.

Micro-USB cable included for flexible power

A Micro-USB cable ships in the box, letting you run the charger from a USB wall adapter, a car charger or a computer port. No proprietary AC brick is required, which simplifies travel kits and reduces cable clutter for creators who already carry USB power banks.

Questions about this item

What USB input does the charger need, and what current does each slot deliver?

The charger takes 5 V 2 A (10 W) over Micro-USB and feeds each of the three slots with 4.2 V 0.5 A.

How large is the unit, and will it sit on a crowded desk?

It measures roughly 3 by 2 by 1 inch, so it occupies very little bench space.

How do I start a charge cycle, and what mistake should I avoid?

Connect the Micro-USB cable to a 5 V 2 A source, insert up to three NP-BX1 batteries, and watch the LCD for each slot; the common error is using a weaker USB port that cannot supply 2 A.
