Kastar NP-BX1 Triple USB Charger

The Kastar NP-BX1 is a compact three-bay charger designed for Sony NP-BX1 and Type X lithium-ion batteries. It accepts 5 V 2 A USB power from a wall adapter, car charger or computer and charges up to three cells simultaneously at 4.2 V 0.5 A each. An integrated LCD panel shows real-time capacity and charging status for every bay. A micro-USB cable is included for immediate use.

Suits multi-camera owners, not single-battery users

Photographers and videographers who run several Sony Cyber-shot, RX or Action Cam bodies will appreciate charging three packs at once from one USB source. The LCD readout removes guesswork when preparing for a shoot. Buyers who only ever carry one spare battery gain no advantage over a simpler single-slot charger and should consider a smaller alternative.

4.2 V 0.5 A per bay output

Each of the three independent channels delivers a fixed 4.2 V at 0.5 A, matching the factory charge profile for NP-BX1 cells. The charger draws a maximum of 10 W from any 5 V 2 A USB supply, so it works with standard phone adapters or power banks. No higher current modes or quick-charge protocols are supported.

Questions about this item

Do I need to own Sony NP-BX1 or Type X batteries for this charger to work?

Yes, the charger is designed for Sony NP-BX1, Type X and X-Series rechargeable packs; without those batteries it cannot charge anything.

Will the charger work with my existing Sony BC-CSX or ACC-TRBX chargers still in the kit?

The unit replaces those chargers; it accepts the same NP-BX1 batteries and draws power from a 5 V 2 A USB source instead of the original AC adapters.

How do I know each bay is charging correctly after I plug it in?

The built-in LCD shows real-time charging status and battery capacity for all three bays simultaneously.
