The Kastar NP-BY1 kit supplies a 1100 mAh lithium-ion cell and a compact charger that can handle four batteries at once. It is aimed at owners of compatible Sony, Pentax, Ricoh or Sanyo cameras who want spare power for long shoots or travel. The charger accepts interchangeable plates so the same unit can serve several battery models.

USB power input and intelligent status display

The charger draws 5 V at 2–3 A (15 W) through either Micro-USB or USB-C and shows charge level and battery capacity on its built-in screen. Output is 4.2 V at 800 mA for one or two cells and 500 mA for three or four cells simultaneously. The 4.07 Wh cell operates at 3.7 V and generates minimal heat during normal charging cycles.

Swappable plates and dual-port flexibility

A Type-C cable is included and the swappable plate system lets you adapt the charger to other supported batteries without buying a new dock.
