Three Li-Ion batteries and dual USB charger

The Kastar NP-FH50 kit supplies three 7.4 V 1200 mAh lithium-ion packs plus an LTD2 charger that powers two cells at once from any 5 V USB source. Each battery stores 8.88 Wh and replaces the original Sony NP-FH30 through NP-FH100 series used in numerous Handycam and Cyber-shot models.

Owners of compatible Sony camcorders needing spare

Videographers who carry a compatible Handycam or Cyber-shot and want multiple ready-to-swap packs will benefit from the three-battery bundle and simultaneous charging. Users whose cameras require a different battery form factor or a higher-capacity single cell should look at alternative solutions.

Dual-bay USB charger with Micro-USB and Type-C

The included LTD2 charger accepts power through either Micro-USB or USB-C at 5 V 2–3 A and delivers 8.4 V 800 mA per bay, showing charge status and remaining capacity on an LCD panel. This single specification determines whether the kit fits your existing power-bank and cable setup.

Questions about this item

When will the NP-FH50 packs need replacing?

Lithium-ion cells gradually lose capacity; plan on fresh packs when run time drops below what your shoots require.

What limits continuous operation first?

Each pack holds 8.88 Wh, so the battery depletes before the charger becomes a bottleneck.

How warm or noisy does the LTD2 charger get during all-day use?

The charger runs silently with no fan; it may feel slightly warm while delivering 8.4 V at 800 mA per slot.
