Four 2300 mAh lithium-ion batteries and a dual-slot USB charger with LCD status display for Sony Handycam and Cyber-shot models
This kit bundles four lithium-ion NP-FM50 batteries rated at 2300 mAh each with an LTD2 dual-slot USB charger. It is designed for owners of compatible Sony camcorders and digital cameras who need spare power for extended shoots. The package replaces original Sony NP-FM30, NP-FM50, NP-FM55H, NP-QM50, NP-QM51 and higher-capacity NP-FM70, NP-FM71, NP-QM71, NP-QM71D, NP-FM90, NP-FM91, NP-QM91, NP-QM91D cells. It does not suit cameras that require proprietary battery shapes outside this NP-FM/QM series.
Each 7.4 V cell stores 17.02 Wh, giving roughly 2300 mAh per battery. Four units provide a combined reserve that can sustain a typical Handycam through several hours of continuous recording or a full day of intermittent use. The charger powers two batteries simultaneously at 800 mA per slot, so a depleted pair reaches full charge in about three hours. Users needing faster turnaround or higher single-battery capacity for power-hungry models like the DCR-TRV950 or HDR-HC1 will find the 2300 mAh limit restrictive.
The LTD2 charger accepts 5 V at 2 to 3 A through either Micro-USB or USB Type-C ports, drawing a maximum of 15 W from any standard USB power adapter or power bank. Output is fixed at 8.4 V and 800 mA per channel regardless of the source capability. The intelligent LCD shows real-time capacity percentage for each bay. Because the input is limited to USB power delivery levels, the charger cannot operate from legacy Sony BC-VM50, BC-VM10 or BC-V615 AC adapters, nor can it charge batteries outside the listed NP-FM/QM compatibility range.
