Four-pack replacement batteries

This set contains four Kastar lithium-ion cells built to replace Sony NP-FM50 and NP-FM55H packs. Each unit delivers 7.4 V and 2300 mAh for compatible Handycam and Cyber-shot models. The pack suits owners who want spare power for extended shoots without buying single units.

17 Wh per cell with protection circuits

At 17 Wh each the batteries give several hours of typical recording before needing a recharge. Built-in safeguards stop over-charge, over-discharge, over-voltage, over-current and over-heating so the cells shut down safely when limits are reached. Run time drops in cold weather or when the LCD stays on continuously.

Fits Sony BC-VM50, BC-VM10 and BC-V615 chargers

The single specification that decides fit is charger compatibility: these cells only charge in the three Sony chargers listed. Buyers using any other charger, or cameras that require a different battery form factor, cannot use this pack.

Questions about this item

Will the Kastar NP-FM50/55H batteries work with my older Sony DCR-TRV10 camcorder?

Yes, the DCR-TRV10 is listed among the compatible camcorder models for these batteries.

How can I confirm the batteries are charging correctly in my Sony BC-VM50 charger?

The charger will indicate charge status normally; the batteries include built-in over-charge protection circuits.

Does the 4-pack include a charger or do I need to buy one separately?

The pack contains four batteries only; a compatible charger such as the BC-VM50 must be purchased separately.
