Kit Contents

This Kastar kit supplies one lithium-ion battery and a matching AC wall charger for Sony Handycam models. It replaces the original NP-FP50 or NP-FP51 pack and works with the BC-TRP series chargers. The bundle suits owners of listed DCR and HDR camcorders who need a ready-to-use spare power set.

Upgrade Context

The kit replaces an ageing or lost Sony NP-FP30, NP-FP50, NP-FP51, NP-FP60, NP-FP70, NP-FP71, NP-FP90 or NP-FP91 battery and the matching BC-TRP, BC-VH1 or AC-VQH10 charger. The jump is worth it when the original cell no longer holds a full day of recording or the factory charger is missing.

Installation Notes

Slide the battery into the camcorder until it clicks, then plug the charger into any 100-240 V outlet and insert the battery; a red LED shows charging and green signals full. The foldable flat pins store flat but can snag on tight power strips, so check clearance before forcing the plug.
