Thermal behaviour and power draw

Each cell carries built-in over-charge, over-discharge, over-voltage, over-current and over-heating protection circuits that meet UL1642 and CE safety standards. The chemistry runs cool during normal camera operation and the protection logic limits current spikes so the battery does not overheat or drain unexpectedly. No active cooling or special charging routine is required beyond the standard Sony BC-CS3 or BC-TR1 chargers.

Build integration and what it frees

The four batteries slip into the existing battery compartment of every compatible Cyber-shot camera without adapters or modifications.
