The charger accepts 100–240 V input and provides 8.4 V at 600 mA with red and green status LEDs. A foldable flat plug keeps the adapter compact for travel.

Suits owners of compatible Handycam and FDR models

Videographers using the listed Sony DCR, HDR, FDR, HXR, PXW or DEV camcorders can carry a spare battery and recharge from any mains socket. Users whose cameras require a different battery form factor or a higher capacity cell should look at alternative power solutions.

Verify your camcorder uses the NP-FV50 series

Check the battery compartment label or manual to confirm compatibility with NP-FV50, NP-FV70 or NP-FV100 packs. Ensure the original charger reference matches BC-TRV, BC-VH1 or AC-VQH10 so the supplied wall unit will operate correctly.

Questions about this item

Does this charger need the Sony NP-FV50 battery already inside the camcorder to charge it?

The included AC wall charger powers the two NP-FV50 batteries directly. It accepts AC 100-240 V input and delivers DC 8.4 V 600 mA output.

Will the Kastar NP-FV50 batteries fit the older Sony DCR-SR15 and HDR-CX115 models I still use?

Yes. The batteries replace Sony NP-FV50, NP-FV70 and NP-FV100 types and are listed as compatible with DCR-SR15, HDR-CX115 and many other models.

How do I confirm the charger is working correctly after plugging it in?

The LED shows red while charging and turns green when the battery reaches full charge or stands by.
