Questions about this item

Will these NP-FW50 batteries fit inside my Sony Alpha 6000 or NEX-6 body?

Yes, the NP-FW50 form factor matches the battery compartment of every listed Alpha and NEX model, so they slide in and latch without modification.

Do I need to charge the pack before first use, or can I put them straight into the camera?

Insert a battery into your Sony BC-VW1 or BC-TRW charger until the indicator shows full; the built-in protection circuit prevents over-charge, but cells ship at storage voltage and should be topped up first.

How many charge cycles can I expect before the 1650 mAh capacity drops noticeably?

The lithium-ion cells meet UL 1642 and CE standards and include over-charge, over-discharge, over-voltage, over-current and over-heating protection, which together extend cycle life well beyond unprotected alternatives.
