Dual NP-FW50 charger for mirrorless cameras

This Kastar NP-FW50 LTD2 charges two NP-FW50 batteries simultaneously from a single USB source. It is built for photographers using the Pixii A1571, Pixii A2572 or Hasselblad Lunar mirrorless cameras who need a compact travel charger. The unit accepts both Micro-USB and USB-C input and includes a Micro-USB cable.

8.4 V 800 mA per slot output

Each slot delivers 8.4 V at 800 mA whether one or two batteries are inserted, so charge time per cell remains constant. The 5 V 2-3 A 15 W input requirement means any standard USB-C PD or QC adapter rated 15 W or higher will run the charger at full speed. An LCD panel shows real-time capacity percentage for both slots.

Interchangeable plate system and bundled cable

The charger uses swappable plates so the same base can charge other battery types when the correct plate is fitted. A Micro-USB cable is included in the box; a USB-C cable is not supplied, so users with USB-C-only power sources must provide their own. Buyers who need to charge more than two batteries at once or who require a bundled battery will not be served by this single-charger pack.

Questions about this item

What does the 800 mA output mean for charging time in the camera?

Each slot delivers up to 800 mA so a single battery charges at that rate; with two batteries both slots run at 800 mA simultaneously.

What do the Micro-USB and Type-C inputs actually limit?

The charger draws up to 15 W at 5 V, so any USB source that can supply 2–3 A will run it at full speed.

Will the 5 by 3 by 1 inch body fit in a small camera bag?

Its compact rectangular shape slides into most accessory pockets and the swappable plate does not add bulk.
