What It Is

This Kastar NP-FZ100 PRO kit supplies three lithium-ion batteries and one USB-C wall charger for Sony Alpha mirrorless cameras. Each cell delivers 2280 mAh at 7.2 V for a total of 16.4 Wh. The pack suits photographers who need multiple spares for long shooting days with models such as the A7R IV, A7R IVA, A7C II, A6700, A1, FX3 or ZV-E1.

Build and Connections

The charger accepts AC 100-240 V input and outputs DC 8.4 V at 600 mA. A foldable flat plug makes it compact for travel bags. Each battery integrates a USB-C port for direct 5 V 2 A charging without the cradle. LED indicators on both charger and batteries show red while charging and green when full or on standby.

Practical Limits

Charging via the wall unit is limited to 600 mA, so replenishing three depleted cells takes time. USB-C top-ups depend on an external 5 V 2 A adapter, which is not included. The kit does not support Sony's multi-bay chargers or in-camera USB power delivery, so users needing simultaneous fast charging of all three batteries will require additional hardware.

Questions about this item

Does the USB-C port on the NP-FZ100 PRO battery support Power Delivery, and what input does it actually accept?

The battery charges via USB-C at 5 V / 2 A using a standard USB adapter; no higher-voltage Power Delivery is specified.

What are the physical dimensions of each NP-FZ100 PRO battery, and will it fit the Sony A7R IV battery compartment?

Each battery measures 3 × 2 × 3 inches and is a direct replacement for the Sony NP-FZ100, so it fits the A7R IV compartment.

How do I charge the three batteries with the included AC wall charger, and what is the common mistake to avoid?

Insert one battery at a time into the charger; the charger outputs 8.4 V / 600 mA and shows red while charging, green when full — do not try to charge multiple batteries simultaneously.
