Replacement power for Sony Bluetooth mouse

The Kastar PS-42B kit supplies three lithium-ion batteries and a matching AC wall charger built for the Sony VGP-BMS77 Bluetooth laser mouse. Each cell delivers 3.7 volts and 1400 milliampere-hours, giving 5.18 watt-hours of capacity. The pack suits owners who want spare cells ready for immediate swaps. It is not for buyers who need a charging dock or a higher-capacity alternative.

Charger input covers global mains voltages

The included wall adapter accepts AC 100 to 240 volts at 50 to 60 hertz and outputs DC 4.2 volts at 600 milliamperes. A foldable flat plug keeps the unit compact for travel. Red and green LEDs show charging and full-charge states. Builders who require USB-C charging or faster recharge rates will not find those features here.

Direct cell swap keeps the mouse running

Batteries match the original Sony 4-268-590-02, SP60 and SP60BPRA9C part numbers, so they fit the mouse compartment without modification. The separate charger frees the mouse for use while spares recharge. Users who prefer in-device charging via a cable will need a different solution.

Questions about this item

What does the 5.18 Wh capacity mean for daily use with the Sony VGP-BMS77 mouse?

The 5.18 Wh rating equals 1400 mAh at 3.7 V, giving a full day of typical Bluetooth laser mouse operation before a recharge is needed.

How does the AC 100-240 V input and DC 4.2 V 600 mA output affect charging speed?

The charger accepts any mains voltage from 100 to 240 V and delivers 600 mA at 4.2 V, so each 1400 mAh cell reaches full charge in roughly two to three hours.

Will the foldable flat plug and 3 x 2 x 3 inch size fit a standard UK travel socket strip?

The foldable flat-pin plug folds flush to the 3 x 2 x 3 inch body, allowing it to sit side-by-side with other adapters on a typical UK travel strip.
