Quadruple Battery Charger

The Kastar charger accepts up to four compatible Canon batteries simultaneously. It supports BP-809, BP-819 and BP-827 cells used across numerous VIXIA camcorders. The unit measures 3.5 by 2 by 2.5 inches and operates without any battery included in the pack.

Interchangeable Plates and Dual Input

Swappable plates let the same charger handle different battery models. Power enters through either Micro-USB or USB-C at 5 volts and up to 3 amps, with a USB-C cable supplied. The intelligent display shows charging status and remaining capacity for each slot.

For Multi-Battery Video Shoots

Videographers who cycle through several packs during long sessions will appreciate the simultaneous charging. Users needing only a single-bay charger or those whose cameras use unrelated battery types should consider a simpler alternative.

Questions about this item

How often do the interchangeable charging plates need to be swapped or replaced?

The charger uses swappable plates for each battery type; plates only need changing when you switch between BP-809, BP-819 or BP-827 packs, not on a fixed schedule.

Which charging current limit is reached first when all four bays are occupied?

With three or four batteries inserted the output drops to 500 mA per bay, so the 500 mA limit is the first constraint under full load.

How much heat or fan noise appears during continuous all-day charging?

The unit has no fan; it draws 15 W from a 5 V 2-3 A USB-C or Micro-USB source and relies on passive cooling, so only mild warmth is produced.
