Heavy-Duty Brass Sink Strainer

The Keeney K1439BRZ is a heavy-duty kitchen sink strainer built with a brass body for long-term durability. It fits standard 3.5-in. drains and includes all necessary nuts and washers for installation. The transparent finish is one of several colour options available for this model. A power ball basket provides a quick, secure connection each time it is used.

Suited to Standard Kitchen Drains

This strainer suits homeowners replacing a worn basket on a standard 3.5-in. kitchen sink drain who want a durable brass body. It is not suited to bar sinks, laundry tubs or any drain size other than 3.5 in. Buyers needing a different finish should select another colour from the available range. The product contains chemicals listed under California Proposition 65.

Handles Everyday Sink Waste

The brass body and power ball basket comfortably handle daily food debris and water flow in a standard kitchen sink. The deep-thread design maintains a secure seal under normal household use. Headroom is limited to the 3.5-in. drain specification; larger commercial drains or non-standard openings will not fit. No other capacity or flow-rate figures are provided.

Questions about this item

Does the K1439BRZ strainer fit my existing 3.5-in. kitchen sink drain opening?

Yes, this strainer is designed for standard 3.5-in. kitchen sink drains and includes all necessary nuts and washers for installation.

Will the heavy duty brass body of this strainer outlast the older chrome-plated fittings I plan to keep?

The solid brass body provides inherent corrosion resistance and structural durability that typically exceeds plated alternatives over long-term use.

How can I verify the power ball basket is sealing correctly after I install the K1439BRZ?

Run water into the sink; the basket should sit firmly in the closed position with no leakage around the flange or through the drain when engaged.
