Kitchen Sink Strainer

Keeney's K5435VB sink strainer fits standard kitchen drains with a Venetian bronze finish. The unit includes a fixed post basket, neoprene stopper, and all required nuts and washers for a complete installation. It is designed for homeowners replacing a worn or leaking drain assembly.

Stainless Steel Construction

The basket is made from stainless steel with safety rolled edges that resist corrosion during daily use. A neoprene stopper creates a reliable seal that holds water without dripping. The fixed post design keeps the basket aligned each time it is inserted.

Venetian Bronze Finish

The bronze coating matches common faucet and hardware tones for a coordinated look. Buyers who need a different finish or a removable basket design should select another model. This strainer is restricted from sale in California due to Proposition 65 chemical warnings.

Questions about this item

How much heat or noise does the K5435VB strainer produce when the sink runs all day?

The strainer is a passive plumbing fitting with no moving parts, motor or fan, so it generates no noise, vibration or measurable heat during continuous water flow.

What existing sink hardware must I already have for the K5435VB to install correctly?

You need a standard 3-1/2 inch sink opening; the package supplies the locknut, friction washer and rubber gasket, so no extra fittings are required.

Will the Venetian bronze finish on the K5435VB match older brass or chrome fixtures I plan to keep?

The Venetian bronze coating is a distinct dark tone; it will not match polished brass or bright chrome, but it coordinates with oil-rubbed bronze or similarly aged accents.
