It accepts an input range from 18V to 32V and uses synchronous rectification to reach up to 95% efficiency with only 50mV ripple. The unit is built into a compact aluminium shell with epoxy potting that provides IP68-rated waterproof, dust-proof and shock-resistant operation from -40°C to 80°C.

Protection and installation benefits

A smart chip adds over-current, over-load, low-load, short-circuit and over-heat protection that resets automatically once the fault clears. The 292g potted module needs no extra sealing and can be mounted directly on a vehicle chassis or in an engine bay without a separate enclosure. A two-second start-up delay prevents inrush current from tripping upstream fuses when the system powers on.
