CarPlay Charging Cable

The KEHIPI 6.6FT USB A to USB C braided cable connects iPhone 15, 16 and 17 series models to a USB-A CarPlay port for simultaneous charging and infotainment access. Its white woven exterior uses a fishing-net braid rated for 30000 bends in laboratory testing. The 6.6 foot length reaches from dashboard ports to passenger seats without tension. Data moves at USB 2.0 480Mbps for syncing and backups.

Broad iPhone and iPad Support

Drivers who want a single cord for every current iPhone from the 15 through the 17 lineup will find the connector fit matches all listed models. The same cable also serves iPad Pro, iPad Air, iPad mini and base iPad units with USB-C ports from 2018 onward. Buyers needing USB 3 or higher throughput for rapid video offload should look at something else. Households using only Lightning or Micro-USB devices cannot use this cable.

USB 2.0 480Mbps Data Rate

The cable operates at USB 2.0 480Mbps, which determines whether it meets the speed requirement for a given workflow. CarPlay, charging, photo sync and document transfer all fall within this bandwidth. Tasks that demand the faster throughput of USB 3.0 or above will not run at their potential on this link.

Questions about this item

Does the 6.6 ft braided cable generate noticeable heat during long CarPlay sessions?

The cable uses USB 2.0 at 480 Mbps, so power draw stays low and the woven jacket does not trap heat during extended use.

What port must my vehicle already have for this cable to work with CarPlay?

Your car needs a built-in USB-A port that supports wired CarPlay; the cable plugs into that port on one end and the iPhone's USB-C connector on the other.

Will this USB-A to USB-C cable work with my 2018 iPad Pro 12.9-inch that still uses a Lightning port?

No, the 2018 12.9-inch iPad Pro uses Lightning; this cable only fits devices with a USB-C port such as the 2018 11-inch iPad Pro and newer USB-C iPads.
