Questions about this item

How can I confirm the adapter is delivering the 867 Mbps 5.8 GHz link after setup?

Connect to a 5.8 GHz network, open the adapter status window in Windows and verify the reported link speed shows 867 Mbps.

What comes in the box and is a separate driver download required?

The package includes the USB adapter, two 5 dBi antennas, a user manual and a driver CD; the CD supplies the driver so no separate download is needed.

Which speed tier should I choose between the 400 Mbps 2.4 GHz and 867 Mbps 5.8 GHz bands?

Use the 5.8 GHz band for higher throughput up to 867 Mbps when the router is close; switch to 2.4 GHz at 400 Mbps for better wall penetration at longer range.
