Compact IR Door Sensor for PWM LED Strips
This mini infrared switch activates single-colour PWM LED strips when a cabinet or drawer door opens and turns them off when the door closes. It is designed for installers and DIY users who want automatic lighting in furniture without wiring a mechanical switch.
DC 12 V to 24 V input with 3 A current limit
The controller accepts 12 V or 24 V DC and passes the same voltage to the load, delivering up to 36 W at 12 V or 72 W at 24 V. The DC barrel jack measures 5.5 mm outer diameter with a 2.1 mm to 2.5 mm inner pin, so the power supply must match both voltage and connector size.
Replaces manual switches
It upgrades installations that currently rely on a hand-operated toggle or a passive infrared detector by fitting inside shallow cabinets where a PIR module would not sit flush. The jump is worth it when the door swing gives a clear line of sight to the IR beam and the load stays within the 3 A rating.

Questions about this item
Which power-supply voltage should I pick for this IR sensor switch?
Choose a 12 V or 24 V DC supply that matches your LED strip; the switch passes the input voltage straight through to the output.
What does the 3 A rating mean for my LED strip?
At 12 V the switch handles up to 36 W of PWM monochrome strip, and at 24 V up to 72 W, provided your power supply can deliver the same current.
What connector standard does the DC plug use?
The plug has a 5.5 mm outer diameter and a 2.1–2.5 mm inner diameter, matching the common barrel-jack size used on many 12 V and 24 V LED strips.
