Six-pack GMRS radio set

The KEHIPI six-pack supplies six handheld GMRS radios for teams that need immediate push-to-talk coordination. Each unit operates on 38 channels with 260 privacy codes and includes a NOAA weather alert receiver. The IP54-rated PC/ABS chassis resists dust, splashes and drops in daily outdoor or site work.

Battery life and charging

A built-in 1500mAh lithium-ion cell delivers up to 18 hours of typical use or 5-7 days on standby. The included fast charger dock replenishes a depleted pack in 2-3 hours and supports separate charging so radios can rotate without downtime. Automatic power saving and low-battery alerts extend usable time between charges.

Upgrade from licence-free radios

The set replaces licence-free PMR/FRS handsets when groups need repeater-capable GMRS range and weather alerts. It is not suited for users who require maritime VHF channels, satellite messaging or integrated GPS tracking. The jump is worth it when reliable multi-kilometre voice contact and NOAA warnings become daily operational needs.

Questions about this item

How do I install the radios and pair them to the same channel, and what step do people often miss?

Insert the 1500mAh Li-ion pack, charge 2-3 hours, then set all six units to one of the 38 GMRS channels and match the same privacy code from the 260 available; the step most users miss is confirming every radio uses the identical code.

What maintenance or replacement will these radios need over time?

The sealed 1500mAh Li-ion battery is rated for up to 18 hours per charge and 5-7 days standby; when capacity fades the whole unit is replaced because the pack is not user-serviceable.

What limit appears first during continuous heavy use?

After roughly 18 hours of typical transmit-receive cycles the 1500mAh battery depletes, so runtime is the first constraint under sustained operation.
