Cosmic Synthetic 0°F Mummy Bag

The Kelty Cosmic Synthetic 0°F mummy sleeping bag is built for solo backpackers who camp in freezing conditions. It uses CirroLoft ECO insulation made from 100 percent recycled fibers to deliver compressible warmth. The 20D recycled nylon shell has a PFAS-free DWR finish for weather defense. A silky taffeta liner adds next-to-skin comfort on the trail.

Integrated compression stuff sack

An integrated compression stuff sack reduces the bag to a non-compressed volume of 17 by 11 inches for minimalist packing. The sack couples with the premium packability of the synthetic fill to meet backpacking gear standards. A full-length zipper allows easy entry and ventilation control. An exterior stash pocket keeps overnight essentials accessible inside the tent.

Temperature range and fit

The bag carries a temperature rating from 0 to 40 degrees Celsius for four-season versatility. The regular size fits sleepers up to 6 feet with a tailored footbox that provides extra toe room. Offset quilt construction, a contoured hood and a full draft collar work together to trap heat and eliminate cold spots. Total weight is 2.481 kilograms for the regular model.

Questions about this item

How does the Cirroloft synthetic insulation hold up after repeated compression cycles?

The Cirroloft synthetic insulation maintains loft for even coverage with no cold spots, and the integrated compression stuff sack allows minimalist packing without degrading warmth performance.

What is the packed size when using the integrated stuff sack for daily trail use?

The non-compressed stuff size is 17x11 inches, and the integrated compression stuff sack reduces bulk further for backpacking loads.

What sleeping pad width works with the 30-inch bag girth?

The bag measures 30 inches wide, so standard 20 to 25 inch sleeping pads fit inside without compressing the synthetic fill.
