Extension Tubes for Canon EOS

The Kenko Auto Extension Tube Set DG provides three tubes of 12mm, 20mm and 36mm that mount between a Canon EOS camera body and EF or EF-S lens. They enable closer focusing distances for macro photography while retaining autofocus communication. The tubes contain no optical elements so image quality depends entirely on the attached lens. A General Brand cleaning kit with cloth, fluid, swabs, tissues and a blower brush is included.

Build Integration

Each tube connects via the standard Canon EF mount and can be used alone or stacked in any combination to vary magnification. No external power or additional adapters are required beyond the camera and lens. Front and rear caps protect the contacts when tubes are not in use. The set frees the photographer from purchasing a dedicated macro lens for occasional close-up work.

Sustained Use Behaviour

Because the tubes add physical extension without optics, light transmission decreases as total length increases, requiring longer exposures or higher ISO values during extended sessions.
