Kenney Microban PEVA Shower Curtain Liner

This clear shower curtain liner measures 70 by 72 inches and fits standard shower and bathtub setups. It is made from medium-weight 4.8 gauge PVC-free PEVA that is waterproof, odorless and flexible. Built-in Microban antimicrobial technology inhibits the growth of stain- and odor-causing bacteria, mold and mildew for the expected lifetime of the liner. Rust-resistant metal grommets and a weighted magnetic hem keep the liner securely in place.

Practical limits of a PEVA liner with magnetic hem

The liner requires 12 shower curtain rings or hooks for installation on most standard rods. Its medium-weight construction provides durability while remaining flexible for everyday use. The magnetic hem helps contain water within the shower area but relies on a ferromagnetic tub surface to function effectively. The Microban protection is built into the material and will not wash away, helping the liner stay fresher between cleanings.

Upgrades from basic vinyl or fabric liners

This liner replaces thinner vinyl liners that can tear easily, emit strong odors or lack antimicrobial protection. It also upgrades fabric liners that absorb water and require frequent machine washing to control mildew. The jump is worth it for households wanting a PVC-free, waterproof barrier that resists mold growth and stays in place without constant adjustment. Buyers who need a liner for non-standard stall sizes or who prefer a heavier hotel-style weight should verify dimensions and gauge before purchase.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 70" x 72" Clear liner or one of the other colours?

The Clear version measures 70 inches wide by 72 inches long and fits standard shower and bathtub setups. White, Frost and Gray are also available in the same size if you prefer a different look.

What does the 4.8 gauge PEVA thickness mean for daily use?

The medium-weight 4.8 gauge PEVA is PVC-free, waterproof, odourless and flexible, so the liner hangs well and resists tearing during everyday showers.

How do the rust-resistant metal grommets and weighted magnetic hem work with a standard rod?

Twelve rust-resistant metal grommets accept standard shower rings, while the weighted magnetic hem clings to the tub to keep the liner in place and reduce billowing.
