Edge-to-Edge Monitor Privacy Filter

The Kensington 23.8in 16:9 privacy filter is designed for bezel-less monitors. It limits the viewing angle to ±30° so only the person directly in front sees the screen clearly. An anti-reflective coating cuts glare and the filter blocks up to 52% of blue light. Reversible matte and glossy surfaces let you choose the finish you prefer.

Mounting Options and Practical Limits

The filter ships with frameless tab holders for quick removal and double-sided tape for a permanent fit. Both methods require a completely flat, edge-to-edge glass surface; curved screens or raised bezels will leave gaps that defeat the privacy effect. The ±30° restriction applies horizontally, so viewers beside you see a darkened display while anyone behind you may still read content.

23.8in 16:9 Form Factor Fit

This filter matches monitors with a 23.8in diagonal and a 16:9 aspect ratio. If your screen uses a different diagonal or aspect ratio the filter will not cover the active area correctly. Buyers who need a filter for ultra-wide, 4:3 or smaller panels should look for a size-specific model.

Questions about this item

Which size and aspect ratio matches my 23.8-inch 16:9 monitor?

This filter is cut for a 23.8-inch diagonal with a 16:9 aspect ratio, so it covers the full active area of that exact panel size.

How narrow is the ±30° viewing angle in daily use?

At ±30° the screen darkens sharply; anyone beside you sees a black surface while you still read text clearly at normal sitting distance.

Does the frameless tab mounting work on a bezel-less edge-to-edge display?

Yes, the included tab holders grip the glass without a frame, and the double-sided tape option gives a permanent, gap-free fit.
