SmartFit Ergonomic Drawer

The Kensington 60004 Underdesk SmartFit Comfort Keyboard Drawer mounts beneath the work surface to free desk space while keeping input devices within reach. Its colour-coded SmartFit system lets each user match the tray height to their personal comfort setting without tools. The unit suits office workers and home users who want a tidy, adjustable typing position.

Sustained Daily Use

The steel frame and ball-bearing slides are built for repeated extension and retraction throughout the workday. The 24.5 inch inner width accommodates full-size keyboards, a wrist rest and a mouse pad side by side so the entire mousing surface travels with the tray. Integrated cable channels keep USB and power cords from snagging during frequent movement.

Thermals Noise and Power

No motor, fan or active electronics are present, so the drawer adds zero heat and zero audible noise to the environment. The mechanism draws no power and requires no USB connection to operate. Installation uses the three pre-drilled height positions and standard hardware, leaving the desk structure unchanged.

Questions about this item

How much desk space does the 26-inch wide drawer reclaim when it slides fully under the desk?

The drawer is 26 inches wide and 13.2 inches deep, so when fully retracted it frees that entire footprint on the desktop.

Does the SmartFit system require any tools or additional hardware to set the height to one of the three levels?

No extra tools are needed; the drawer mounts at three preset heights and the SmartFit color guide helps you pick the right one.

Will a full-size keyboard with numeric keypad and a separate mouse fit on the 24.5-inch inner tray together?

Yes, the inner tray is 24.5 inches wide and 11.75 inches deep, providing room for an oversize keyboard, wrist rest and mouse side by side.
