Portable Combination Lock

The Kensington 64671 is a keyless security device built around a 4-wheel combination mechanism. It anchors to any fixed desk or table leg and attaches to the standard Kensington Security Slot present on 99% of notebooks. Users set their own code from 10000 possible combinations and can reset it whenever required. The red cable makes the lock easy to spot in a busy workspace.

Cable Capacity and Headroom

A 6 ft carbon-strengthened cable provides enough reach to wrap around thick desk legs or shared anchor points while keeping the laptop within arm's length. The 1.8/3.5mm diameter resists casual cutting attempts but remains flexible for daily coiling and transport. The lock head measures 18mm wide by 50mm long, so it fits flush against ultra-thin chassis without blocking adjacent ports. Very thick anchor points or unusually tight routing angles may reduce usable length.

Kensington Slot Interface Limits

The lock only works on devices equipped with the Kensington Security Slot; tablets, ultra-portables or convertibles lacking that slot cannot be secured with this model. Combination security relies on the user choosing and remembering a 4-digit code, offering no key override if the code is forgotten. The carbon-steel cable deters opportunistic theft but is not rated against determined attacks with heavy cutting tools.
