Kensington ClickSafe Security Anchor 67973

This silver security anchor enables ClickSafe keyed locks to protect laptops equipped with Wedge security slots rather than the standard Kensington slot. It is designed for organisations that need a consistent locking solution across mixed device fleets. The anchor attaches to the laptop so a ClickSafe lock can engage with a single click.

Dell Wedge slot adapter upgrade

The anchor replaces the need for separate wedge-style locks by adapting Dell systems to accept ClickSafe locks. IT teams can standardise on one lock type instead of stocking different mechanisms for different slot designs. The upgrade is worthwhile when a fleet includes both standard Kensington slots and Dell Wedge slots.

Simple screw-on installation

The anchor mounts to the laptop chassis using existing screw points, requiring only a screwdriver and a minute of time. No tools are included, so have the correct driver ready. The most common issue is selecting the wrong anchor for the specific slot type, so verify the laptop uses a Wedge slot before fitting.

Questions about this item

Does the 67973 anchor require a specific slot type to mount?

The anchor is adapted for Dell systems that use a Wedge security slot instead of the industry-standard Kensington Security Slot.

How is the ClickSafe lock engaged with this anchor?

One-click, keyless engagement secures the ClickSafe lock to the anchor without needing a key to lock it.

Will the anchor itself wear out or need replacement over time?

The anchor is a passive metal bracket; it has no moving parts or consumables, so it does not require scheduled replacement.
