11.6" 16:9 Privacy Filter for Notebooks

The Kensington K52791WW privacy filter fits 11.6" LCD notebook displays with a 16:9 aspect ratio. It limits the viewing angle to +/- 30 degrees so only the user sees the screen content. The glossy surface includes an anti-reflective coating and a reversible design. A cleaning cloth and frameless tab holders are supplied for installation.

Upgrade from No Privacy Protection

This filter adds visual privacy and blue light reduction to a bare notebook display. The jump is worth it when you handle confidential data in shared spaces such as offices, cafés or public transport. It also adds a scratch-resistant layer that protects the underlying panel from daily wear. Buyers who need privacy on larger screens or different aspect ratios cannot use this specific model.

Limits of the Physical Filter Format

The filter attaches directly to the display bezel using tabs or double-sided tape, so it cannot be used on devices with curved screens or extremely thin bezels that leave no mounting surface. The +/- 30 degree privacy angle is fixed by the louver technology and cannot be adjusted. The glossy finish may show fingerprints more readily than a matte alternative. The blue light reduction is capped at the stated 30 percent figure.

Questions about this item

Will the 11.6" filter cover my Chromebook's 16:9 display without overhang?

Yes, the K52791WW is cut for 11.6" 16:9 screens so it matches the active area exactly.

Which attachment method should I choose — the frameless tabs or the double-sided tape?

Use the frameless tabs if you want to remove the filter daily; choose the tape only for a permanent fit because residue can remain on the bezel.

How often should I replace the cleaning cloth to keep the anti-reflective coating effective?

Wash or swap the cloth whenever it feels gritty; a dirty cloth can grind particles into the coating and reduce glare reduction.
