Privacy Filter for 16:10 Widescreen Monitors

The Kensington K52794WW privacy screen fits widescreen monitors with a 16:10 aspect ratio. It limits the viewing angle to plus or minus 30 degrees, keeping on-screen data visible only to the person directly in front of the display. The filter also reduces harmful blue light by up to 30 percent and includes an anti-reflective coating that cuts glare while improving clarity.

Viewing Angle Restriction to +/- 30 Degrees

The single specification that decides fit is the physical size of 11.77 inches high by 20.92 inches wide. Buyers must match these exact height and width dimensions to their monitor's active viewing area; the 16:10 aspect ratio alone is not sufficient. Installation uses included frameless tab holders or double-sided tape, and the filter is reversible with matte and glossy sides.

Screen Protection and Light Reduction

The filter protects the monitor surface from scratches and daily wear while an anti-microbial additive decreases film degradation over time. A cleaning cloth is included for maintenance. It is not suited for monitors with different aspect ratios or larger active areas, nor for users who require wider side viewing angles for collaborative work.

Questions about this item

How narrow does the +/- 30 degree viewing limit make the screen look to someone beside me?

Anyone outside a 30 degree cone from centre sees a darkened display, so content stays private in open-plan offices or public spaces.

Does the frameless tab mounting need a bezel lip, or can it stick on a flat edge?

The kit includes both frameless tab holders and double-sided tape, so it fits monitors with or without a raised bezel.

Will the 11.77 by 20.92 inch filter cover my 16:10 panel without gaps?

Yes — the filter is cut for 16:10 widescreens at exactly those height and width dimensions.
