Product purpose

The Kensington K60731WW privacy filter fits a 23.8 inch monitor with a 16:9 aspect ratio. It narrows the visible field to plus or minus 30 degrees so on-screen data stays hidden from side views. The filter also cuts harmful blue light by up to 30 percent to reduce eye strain.

Mounting and screen impact

Two attachment methods are supplied: frameless tab holders that grip the monitor edges for quick removal, or double-sided tape for a fixed, low-profile fit. An anti-reflective coating reduces glare while maintaining clarity. The surface resists scratches up to a 2H pencil hardness, protecting the underlying panel from daily contact.

Who should use it

Office workers and mobile professionals handling confidential material in open spaces will benefit from the restricted viewing angle and blue-light reduction. Buyers whose monitors differ from the 23.8 inch 16:9 size need a different filter, as do users who require a wider viewing angle for collaborative work.

Questions about this item

How long will the anti-reflective coating and scratch-resistant surface last under daily cleaning and handling?

The filter surface resists scratches up to a 2H pencil-hardness rating, and the anti-reflective coating is built into the layer rather than applied on top, so it will not wear off with normal wiping.

How much warmer does the monitor run with the filter attached, and does it affect fan noise?

The filter adds no active components and does not block ventilation, so monitor temperature and fan behaviour stay exactly as they were without it.

What must the monitor already have for the frameless tab holders to attach securely?

A flat, clean bezel or glass edge at least a few millimetres wide around the 23.8-inch 16:9 viewable area is all that is needed for the tabs to grip.
