Kensington K64638WW Combination Cable Lock

This Kensington combination cable lock secures laptops, desktops, monitors, hard drives, docking stations, and projectors that feature a Kensington security slot. It is designed for professionals and students who need a portable, keyless solution to protect devices and private information in shared offices, libraries, or classrooms.

10000 combinations with 1.524 m carbon steel cable

The 4-wheel combination offers 10000 possible codes, removing the need to track a physical key. The 5 mm thick cable uses engineered woven carbon steel sheathed in a protective sleeve to deliver cut resistance comparable to much thicker cables, while the 1.524 m length reaches most anchor points on a desk or table.

Push-button one-hand operation and dual lock heads

A push-button design enables one-hand engagement, and dual lock heads with 12.7 mm by 31.5 mm dimensions provide three rotational degrees of freedom for awkward slot angles. Disc-style keying resists picking, and Kensington's online code registration allows retrieval if the combination is forgotten. Note that 2016 and newer Dell models using the Noble lock slot are not compatible.

Questions about this item

Will the 12.7 mm by 31.5 mm T-bar lock head fit the Kensington security slot on my older laptop?

Yes, the lock head is designed for the industry-standard Kensington security slot found on most laptops, docking stations, monitors and hard drives.

How can I verify the 4-wheel combination mechanism is set correctly after I choose a code?

Scramble the four dials after locking, then re-enter your chosen combination; the push-button will release the cable only when the correct 10000-code sequence is aligned.

Does the package include both the 1.524 m cable and the 203 mm cable, or must I buy the shorter one separately?

Both cables are supplied in the box — the 1.524 m primary cable and the 203 mm secondary cable — so no separate purchase is needed.
