Wired optical mouse for office use

The Kensington K72110US is a wired optical mouse with a 1000 dpi sensor and silent clicking. Its ambidextrous shape suits both left-handed and right-handed users. A single scroll wheel and three buttons handle everyday navigation. Plug-and-play USB keeps setup simple for office or home workstations.

USB interface limits cable reach and port type

The mouse connects through a standard USB wired link, so the cable length fixes the maximum working distance from the host. No wireless pairing or battery management is involved. The connection draws power directly from the port, removing the need for separate charging or replacement cells.

Check OS version and available USB port before

Supported systems include Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and Mac OS 10.5 through 10.8. Verify that your computer runs one of these versions and has a free USB port. Users needing higher sensitivity, programmable buttons or wireless freedom should consider other models.

Questions about this item

Which DPI setting should I choose for everyday office work?

The mouse has a fixed 1000 dpi optical sensor, so there is no version or capacity to select; it works straight away for standard office tasks.

What does the 1000 DPI figure mean once the mouse is in use?

The 1000 dpi optical sensor moves the cursor roughly one thousand counts per inch of hand travel, giving responsive control for typical desktop work.

What does the USB interface cap in practice?

The wired USB connection provides plug-and-play operation on Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and Mac OS 10.5 through 10.8 without needing extra drivers.
