Wired numeric keypad for data entry

The Kensington K79820WW adds a 21-key number pad with four shortcut keys to laptops or compact keyboards that lack a dedicated numeric block. It connects through a wired USB-A plug for immediate plug-and-play operation on Windows, macOS and Chrome OS without batteries or driver installation. Anti-slip foot pads keep the unit stable during intensive input sessions.

Scissor keys stay consistent over long sessions

Slim scissor switches deliver a quiet, responsive feel that does not degrade during extended spreadsheet or accounting work. The fixed cable removes the latency drops or recharge pauses that wireless alternatives introduce when the battery runs low. A Num Lock indicator gives an instant visual cue so users maintain accuracy without breaking rhythm.

Upgrades keyboards without a number pad

This accessory targets users who regularly enter numeric data on compact keyboards or laptops that omit a ten-key cluster. It is not suited for buyers who need a standalone calculator-style device or a wireless solution for mobile use. The four shortcut keys are only fully functional on Windows, so macOS and Chrome OS users lose that specific efficiency gain.

Questions about this item

Does the wired USB-A connection draw enough power to warm up after hours of continuous data entry?

The keypad is powered entirely through the USB-A port and has no battery; it draws only the small current a standard keyboard uses, so it stays cool during all-day use.

What must my computer already have for the K79820WW to work immediately?

A free USB-A port and Windows, macOS or Chrome OS — no driver or software installation is required.

Will the four shortcut keys on this keypad function with my older Mac running macOS?

The shortcut keys are Windows-only; on macOS the 21 numeric and navigation keys work, but the four extra shortcuts do nothing.
