Kensington MicroSaver 2.0 Portable Keyed Cable Lock 64423

Portable Keyed Cable Lock 64423

The Kensington MicroSaver 2.0 is a portable keyed cable lock designed to secure laptops and other devices that feature a Kensington Security Slot. Its coiled cable design makes it easy to carry and deploy in mobile work environments. The lock attaches to laptops, desktops, monitors, hard drives, docking stations and projectors using T-Bar Locking Technology. It suits professionals who need physical theft deterrence for compatible equipment on the go.

10mm T-Bar Lock Head

The single specification that determines compatibility is the 10mm lock head built on Kensington T-Bar Locking Technology. This mechanism only engages with a standard Kensington Security Slot found on the target device. If a laptop, monitor or peripheral lacks that specific slot profile, the lock cannot be attached and will not secure the hardware. Verify the slot type before purchase to ensure the lock head matches the device.

Coiled Cable Installation

Installation consists of wrapping the coiled cable around a fixed anchor point and inserting the T-Bar lock head into the security slot before turning the key. The coiled design keeps excess cable tidy and reduces snagging during transport. What usually goes wrong is attempting to force the lock into a non-standard or recessed slot, which can damage the lock head or the device chassis. Ensure the slot is fully accessible and matches the T-Bar profile before engaging the key.
