Product Purpose

The Kensington Pro Fit K72450US is a full-size RF wireless keyboard built for office workers and home users who want a standard layout with a numeric keypad and a 30-foot 2.4GHz wireless range. It connects through a USB receiver and runs on 2 AAA batteries, so setup is plug-and-play without software.

Who It Suits

This keyboard suits anyone who prefers a traditional six-row layout, spill-proof membrane protection and a black finish that matches most desktop setups. It is not for buyers who want a built-in palm rest, a mouse included in the box, Bluetooth connectivity or rechargeable power.

Deciding Specification

The single specification that decides fit is the 2.4GHz RF wireless link with a 30-foot operating distance — if your workstation sits farther from the receiver or you require a different wireless protocol, this model will not meet the requirement.

Questions about this item

What USB port does the K72450US receiver need?

It plugs into any standard USB port for the 2.4GHz wireless link.

Which step do users skip during setup?

Insert the two AAA batteries before plugging the receiver in, otherwise the keyboard will not pair.

When will the spill-proof membrane need attention?

Wipe it after any liquid spill; the membrane protects the electronics but does not stop keys from sticking if residue dries.
