SlimBlade Pro EQ Trackball

The Kensington SlimBlade Pro EQ Trackball is a wireless trackball designed for right-handed users who prefer stationary cursor control. It connects via Bluetooth or 2.40 GHz radio frequency using a USB interface and features a symmetrical white chassis with a rechargeable battery. Eight programmable buttons and a touch-scroll surface allow extensive workflow customisation without moving the device across a desk.

Battery life and button capacity

The rechargeable battery delivers up to 4 months of operating time between charges, reducing downtime for typical office or creative sessions. Eight programmable buttons provide ample mapping room for shortcuts, macros or application-specific commands. Users who rely on high-button-count gaming mice or need more than three primary inputs for complex CAD navigation may find the three-button layout limiting.

Thermals noise and power draw

Optical tracking eliminates mechanical rolling parts, so the device runs silently and generates negligible heat during normal use. Power draw is limited to the low-energy Bluetooth or 2.40 GHz radio link and the sensor itself, allowing the rechargeable cell to sustain multi-month operation. No active cooling or fan noise is present, making it suitable for quiet environments.

Questions about this item

Will the SlimBlade Pro EQ trackball K72084NA work alongside my older USB-A peripherals?

The trackball connects via Bluetooth or the included 2.40 GHz USB receiver, leaving your existing USB-A ports free for other devices.

How can I verify the optical sensor is tracking correctly after setup?

Move the ball and confirm the cursor responds smoothly; the touch scroll ring should also register vertical and horizontal scrolling without driver installation.

Does the box include a USB-C charging cable, or must I buy one separately?

A USB Type C cable is supplied for recharging the internal battery, so no separate purchase is needed for power.
