Kensington SlimBlade Trackball 72327

The Kensington SlimBlade Trackball 72327 is a low-profile input device with a silver metallic finish. Its stationary trackball design reduces the arm and wrist movement required by a traditional mouse. Laser tracking provides precise cursor control on a variety of surfaces. The ambidextrous shape suits both left- and right-handed users equally.

Suited to compact desks

This trackball suits users who want to minimise desk clutter and limit repetitive arm motion during long sessions. Buyers who need a portable device for frequent travel may find the stationary form factor less convenient. It is not designed for buyers who prefer the familiar push-and-glide action of a standard mouse. ChromeOS users receive basic HID functions but cannot access the customisation software.

KensingtonWorks software enables button remapping

The free downloadable KensingtonWorks application lets you assign custom functions or keyboard shortcuts to each button and adjust pointer speed and acceleration. This personalisation turns the trackball into a productivity tool tailored to individual workflows. ChromeOS users cannot install the software, so button behaviour remains fixed to default HID assignments.
