Wired marine remote for Kenwood receivers

The Kenwood KCA-RC35MR is a wired remote control built for compatible Kenwood marine receivers. It lets the operator adjust power, volume, source and track selection from a second helm station or cockpit while the head unit stays mounted below deck.

Four-wire installation and IPX7 rating

Connection uses only four leads: ignition (red), remote turn-on (blue/yellow), illumination (orange) and ground (black). The unit meets IPX7 waterproof standards and is designed to withstand the harsh marine environment.

Questions about this item

Which Kenwood marine receivers work with this wired remote?

The KCA-RC35MR is compatible with KMR-D558BT, KMR-D358, KMR-M308T, KMR-D562BT, KMR-D362BT, KMR-M312BT, KMR-700U, KMR-550U and KMR-350U.

What controls does the remote give me at the helm?

You get power on/off, volume up/down, source selection, track up/down, music search and mute — all without needing line of sight to the receiver.

How does the four-wire connection limit the installation?

Only ignition (red), remote turn-on (blue/yellow), illumination (orange) and ground (black) are required, so the remote can be mounted away from the receiver while keeping the wiring simple.
