Flat-head socket cap screws

Kerr Lakeside 25C125KFC flat-head socket cap screws come in a 100-piece pack. Each screw measures 1/4-20 x 1.25 in. with a full UNC coarse thread. They are made from alloy steel with a black oxide finish and meet ASTM A574 and ANSI B18.3 standards.

Verify thread and drive compatibility

Ensure your application uses 1/4-20 UNC coarse threads and a hex drive. Confirm the 1.25 in. length and flat head style suit the material thickness and countersink depth. The Rockwell hardness rating of Rc 38-43 indicates high strength for demanding fastening tasks.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box and do I need to buy a driver bit separately?

The box contains 100 flat head socket cap screws with a hex drive. A hex key or bit matching the 1/4-20 size is required for installation and is not included.

How do I choose between the available versions of this fastener?

This item is sold as a single 100-piece pack of 1/4-20 x 1.25 inch coarse-thread alloy steel screws with a black oxide finish and Rc 38-43 hardness.

What does the 180000 tensile strength figure mean when I use these screws in a real assembly?

The 180000 psi rating means each screw can withstand very high clamping loads before stretching or breaking, meeting ASTM A574 and ANSI B18.3 standards for alloy steel socket head cap screws.
