Compact desk clock for home and travel

The KESHIDE digital alarm clock measures 6.7 in x 1.5 in x 3.0 in and fits on a bedside table, bathroom counter or office desk. It runs on three AAA batteries, so no mains outlet is required. The black LCD shows time, date and indoor temperature in one view. It suits anyone who wants a simple, portable clock without wiring.

Battery-only operation with carbon-cell requirement

Power comes exclusively from three AAA carbon batteries, which are not supplied. The manufacturer states that alkaline cells may cause display malfunctions or alarm failures because of their higher current output. Temperature is reported from 0 to 50 degrees Celsius (32 to 122 degrees Fahrenheit). The clock offers a selectable 12 or 24 hour format and shows month, day and year.

Lightweight plastic case with top-mounted controls

The slim rectangular body is easy to move between rooms or pack in luggage. A large snooze button on the top silences the ascending beep for five minutes, while a separate light button illuminates the LCD for five seconds. An optional sensor mode keeps the backlight active in darkness. All setting buttons sit on the rear panel.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 12-hour or 24-hour display mode?

The clock lets you switch between 12-hour and 24-hour formats in the settings, so choose whichever matches your preference for reading the time.

What does the 32 to 122 degree Fahrenheit range mean for daily use?

It shows the current indoor temperature from freezing up to 50 Celsius, updating in real time so you can see the room condition at a glance.

Does the clock plug in or run only on batteries?

It runs on three AAA carbon batteries; the maker advises against alkaline cells because their higher current can upset the movement.
