Engineers Tape Measure, 50 ft
The Keson OTR-10-50 is a 50 foot engineers tape measure built for surveyors and civil crews who read in tenths and hundredths of a foot. Its fiberglass blade is printed with 1/10 and 1/100 foot graduations on a white surface. A folding hook anchors the zero point securely. The open ABS case in orange resists jobsite dirt and impact.
Open Case, Manual Rewind, No Lock
The open frame lets debris fall through instead of jamming the blade during manual rewind. Double throat rollers guide the fiberglass tape smoothly in both directions. There is no locking mechanism so the blade runs free until the user stops it. ABS plastic construction keeps the case light while protecting the internal spring.
Folding Hook, Stud Markings, No Belt Clip
A folding hook end catches on studs and edges for one-person measurements. Stud markings appear along the blade for quick framing reference. The case lacks a belt clip so the tape rides in a pouch or tool bag. Clear coating on the blade protects the printed graduations from abrasion and moisture.

Questions about this item
How do I attach the folding hook to the edge of a board?
Unfold the hook so it sits flat, then press the zero-point tab against the work edge; the hook thickness is already accounted for in the graduations.
Will the fiberglass blade stretch over time?
Fiberglass resists stretching, but keep the blade clean and dry and store it fully retracted to maintain accuracy.
What stops the blade from rewinding smoothly after heavy outdoor use?
Dirt or moisture in the open case and double-throat rollers is the first limit; rinse and dry the blade before rewinding.
