Desk Mat Dimensions and Materials

The Keychron A-4717-Black desk mat measures 47 x 17 inches with a thickness of .1 inch. It combines a PU leather top surface with a natural cork base for a soft, odorless texture. The rectangular mat weighs 1.26104413864 pounds and is designed to cover a large portion of a standard desk.

Replaces Small Pads and Protects Desks

This mat replaces separate mouse pads and keyboard rests by providing a single continuous surface for typing, writing, and mouse movement. The upgrade is worth it when a smaller pad forces frequent repositioning or when desk surfaces show wear from daily use. The waterproof, oil-proof top layer resists spills and cleans with a damp cloth.

Cork Base Grip Limits

The cork backing relies on friction to stay in place on smooth desks; heavily textured or polished surfaces may reduce its holding power. The mat rolls for portability but can retain a slight curl until weighted down. The .1 inch profile keeps it low but offers minimal cushioning compared to thicker foam alternatives.

Questions about this item

Will the 47 x 17 inch mat fit my desk?

The mat measures 47 inches long by 17 inches wide, so measure your desk surface to confirm it fits within those dimensions.

How do I install the mat and what step do people miss?

Unroll the mat with the cork side down on a clean, dry desk; the step often missed is wiping the desk first so dust does not break the non‑slip grip.

How do I clean the mat and when will it need replacing?

Wipe the PU leather top with a damp cloth for spills or dust; replace the mat when the cork backing loses grip or the surface shows permanent wear.
