Desk Pad Dimensions

The Keychron CA-001 is a rectangular desk pad measuring 36 by 17 inches with a thickness of .1 inches. It provides a continuous surface for a keyboard, mouse and laptop. The black faux leather finish suits both home and office environments.

Surface Protection Limits

The PU leather top resists water, ink and drink spills so the desk underneath stays free of stains and heat marks. The suede backing increases friction by 70 percent compared with double-sided leather, keeping the pad in place during use. It is not a rigid shield and will not stop heavy impacts or sharp objects.

Thickness Decides Fit

At 2mm thick the pad adds minimal height to the work surface, which matters if a monitor stand or keyboard tray has tight clearance. Buyers who need a thicker cushioned surface for wrist support should look elsewhere. The slim profile keeps the typing angle virtually unchanged.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 36 x 17 inch size or the 50 inch option?

The 36 x 17 inch pad covers a wide desk area for keyboard and mouse together, while the 50 inch figure refers to a different measurement; pick the rectangular dimensions if you want full desktop coverage.

How does the 2 mm thickness feel during daily typing and mouse work?

At 2 mm the pad adds a thin, firm layer that keeps the desk surface smooth for writing and mouse glide without raising your wrists noticeably.

What does the 70 % friction increase on the suede back actually prevent?

The suede backing raises grip by 70 % compared with double-sided leather, so the pad stays fixed during fast mouse swipes or keyboard strikes.
