Purpose and Audience

The Keychron mouse jiggler is a compact USB device that keeps a computer awake by simulating subtle cursor movement. It is intended for remote workers, students and anyone who needs their session to stay active during long meetings, classes or breaks without installing extra software.

Behaviour Under Sustained Load

The unit draws minimal power from the USB port and operates continuously without driver support, so it remains stable during extended use. It is recognised as a standard 2.4G mouse rather than an unknown device, preventing IT management tools from flagging or blocking it.

Installation and Common Issues

Setup is plug-and-play on Windows XP through 10, Mac OS and Linux; no configuration is required. The only frequent issue is forgetting to remove the device before transporting the laptop, which can keep the system awake unintentionally.

Questions about this item

Does the Keychron mouse jiggler generate noticeable heat or fan noise when left plugged in all day?

The device draws only 3 megabits per second over USB and weighs 0.01 kilograms, so it produces no audible fan noise and negligible heat during continuous use.

What must I already own for the Keychron mouse jiggler to work?

A computer with a free USB-A port running Windows 7 or later, macOS or Linux is all that is required; no extra drivers, software or power adapter are needed.

Will the Keychron mouse jiggler interfere with a legacy PS/2 mouse or an older USB 1.1 hub I still use?

It enumerates as a standard 2.4G mouse at USB 2.0 speeds, so it coexists with PS/2 peripherals and USB 1.1 hubs without conflicts or extra configuration.
