Questions about this item

Will the 2 mm thickness compress noticeably after months of daily mouse use?

The pad uses a 2 mm lycra surface bonded to a rubber base; the supplier states the edges resist deformation and degumming during prolonged use.

Does the lycra top or rubber base become warm or emit odour when the pad covers the desk all day?

The waterproof coating lets spills slide off and the rubber base grips the desk; no heat build-up or smell is mentioned for continuous coverage.

Must the desk be a specific material or size for the 36 x 16 inch pad to stay flat?

The non-slip rubber base is designed to secure the entire fabric surface on any flat desktop; the pad measures 36 x 16 inches and weighs 0.599 kg.
