Pendant Drop Outlet Box 50 ft

The Kh Industries pendant drop outlet box supplies four NEMA 5-20R receptacles on a 50 ft length of 12 AWG SOOW cord. A single moulded NEMA 5-20P plug connects the assembly to a 125 V AC source rated for up to 20 A and 2 500 W. The round black rubber jacket remains flexible from -40 °F to 194 °F and is rated for outdoor use.

Suits temporary outdoor power distribution

This unit suits crews who need four grounded outlets at a distance from a single 20 A supply, such as job-site lighting, tools or equipment. It is not for applications requiring more than four receptacles, higher amperage, a different plug or receptacle configuration, or a cord length other than 50 ft.

Verify supply circuit and environment

Confirm the supply circuit provides 125 V AC with a 20 A breaker and a NEMA 5-20R receptacle to accept the plug. Ensure the operating temperature range of -40 °F to 194 °F covers the intended environment and that the 12 AWG three-conductor SOOW cord meets local code for the planned load.

Questions about this item

What power source is required for the NEMA 5-20P plug on this 50 ft pendant drop box?

A 125 V AC supply rated for at least 20 A with a matching NEMA 5-20R receptacle is needed to power the box.

Will the 12 AWG SOOW cord stay flexible when used with older shop equipment in cold conditions?

The rubber-jacketed cord is rated from -40 °F to 194 °F, so it remains pliable in freezing temperatures while powering legacy tools.

How can I verify the outlet box is delivering power correctly after installation?

Connect a known-good 125 V load up to 2 500 W; the four NEMA 5-20R receptacles should each supply voltage without tripping the 20 A circuit.
