Active Cooling Kit for Edge2

This kit combines a heatsink with the 3705 cooling fan for the Khadas Edge2 single-board computer. It is designed for developers and makers who need active thermal management during sustained workloads. The bundle is sold new and targets IoT edge applications that demand reliable heat dissipation.

3705 fan compatibility limits

The 3705 fan cannot be mounted on Edge1 boards because its cable is too short for that layout. The kit is also incompatible with the original Edge, Edge-V and all VIMs series single-board computers. Buyers who own those earlier platforms will need a different cooling solution.

Questions about this item

Will the 3705 fan in this cooling kit require periodic cleaning or replacement?

The 3705 fan is a mechanical component; dust buildup will reduce airflow over time so plan to clean the blades and heatsink fins periodically and replace the fan if bearings become noisy.

What thermal limit appears first when the Edge2 runs sustained loads with this active cooling kit?

The 3705 fan and heatsink combination is designed to keep the Edge2 SoC below its throttling threshold during continuous operation.
